Our Topper base size is 8×8” in size meaning most of your bio hair will hide underneath so you can use this opportunity to go for the colour you always wanted. Multi-dimensional colours are easier to blend than block colours, as they contain a medley of different shades. The most important aspect of colour matching is the root area as you will be using your front hair line to blend. If you intend to wear your hair topper with a pre-cut fringe, then this eliminate this altogether. Remember your bio hair will poke out around your ears and nape of the neck take this into consideration.

Unlike a wig, a Topper is intended to work alongside your hair so try not to deviate too far from your natural shade, 1-2 shades wiggle room can work. If you are even in doubt do send in some natural daylight photos or book a video consult for bespoke one to one advice.

If we can meet your expectations and have the available stock – YES, we would love to! We don’t deviate from our trusted caps though, so custom orders take into consideration colour, length, gram, cuts & styling only. They are exempt from our returns policy.

Some colours are so popular Andrea will create them in bulk. These include “Señorita” “Celebrity Inspired” “Black Gloss” or “Natural Virgin Shades”. Don’t be too disappointed if you miss out, there are always new pieces just around the corner.

Perfection cannot be rushed. Andrea takes hours or sometimes days to create a beautiful colour. We do not simply buy and sell. We design and create. We have a client base of thousands of lovely ladies who check the website daily, so we sell out sometimes in minutes. Once sold, the Topper is removed immediately.

This is a very personal decision, we really encourage you to book a free video call to go into further detail for what is best for you. Newbies are advised to start with a lower gram or a skinny topper and then advance to a thicker or longer topper for their next investment once they become more comfortable with hair wearing. If additional length is required, then a higher gram is recommended.

Once again, we provide the information and allow the customer to make these important decisions for themselves. We are happy to dive into more details during a video consult, but simply put, a face frame cut does help the Topper look and fit better but it does revoke your returns policy. We always advise a newbie to not add cuts until they have tried their topper on at home and feel comfortable in hair wearing. An experienced Perfectfringe wearer should go for the cuts especially if they require a specific style of cut. If you are undecided, it’s always better to skip the cuts for right now. If you have a hairdresser you trust, this is a great back up plan!

The Topper sits on top of your head, like a hat, so your head takes the weight not your hair. Our Toppers are unlike hair extensions will pull and drag on the actual hair causing a risk of traction alopecia.

We do advise taking your time during application and in particular the removal of your Topper. Rushing, pulling or yanking your Topper off your head might pull out some hairs if there are some hairs still underneath the clips. Slow wins the race.

Yes, the 4×4” silk top section of the Topper is multi-directional, however, it’s worth pointing out that if you opted for a cut, the part-line is set first, then the cut is carried out. So changing the parting does affect the cut a little. We can change both the part and tweak the cut during any future R&R.

Yes, with the help of an experienced professional, avoid the colourant making contact with the silk top as this will stain. Use a professional brand of toner along with a low level of developer. High levels are not required because you are depositing colour only. Consider colour enhance conditioners but avoid the silk!

Technically, it’s hair – so yes…but we don’t advise or recommend it. If the bleach touches the silk, it will burn an immediate hole. Further more, we all know bleach dries out hair so given the expensive investment of your Topper, we advise you refrain from the bleach! Remember also, depending on the original colour of your Topper, Andrea might have already bleached and added highlights, so if you re-bleach over the bleach, it could snap the hair! Don’t say we didn’t warn you!

Unfortunately, losing hairs on any silk or lace top is inevitable with wear and tear as each hair is merely attached with a single knot. Many times we brush a little too hard, or allow conditioner and hair products to weaken the knots, or blow dry using tension. This applies to all silk and lace hair toppers and wigs worldwide.

Prevention is better than cure so following the care guide and doing your best to handle your Topper delicately from day 1 is best. If you have only lost a couple of hairs (this is normal) take that as your warning to be extra careful. To help conceal a very small area of loss, you can move the part line over a little or use a little root spray/fibres/powders to hide the patch if it’s small. Then keep an eye, if you feel it’s getting worse, then you have the peace of mind of knowing the repair service is available for when you need it.

These are not charged by us, these are charged by your country as point of import (when your package enters your country) and how much you are charged depends on the laws set by your country. We advise researching how much this is before you purchase as it will regrettably be a part of your overall purchase price.
